It gives me great pleasure to invite you to a “Turning of the Sod” event at Footscray Lions Co-operative Village at 68 – 78 Summerhill Road, West Footscray on Wednesday 15, February at 11.00am.
Devco Constructions are now onsite and works have finally commenced to bring our 49 apartment Co-op Village project to fruition. Needless to say, we are very excited as we work towards the development of our innovative housing project which will primarily target women over the age of 55 years.
The Minister of Housing the Hon. Colin Brooks will officially launch the project at 11.00am on site and then we will adjourn to the Rec West Community Centre, corner of Essex and Market Street, West Footscray for a light lunch and tea/coffee at 12pm.
Tim Hill and Priscilla Finn from Tandem Design Studio Projects will provide a power point and overview of the project design at Rec West Community Centre.
Legata Projects will be available to provide answers to any technical questions.
Members of UHC team will be available to answer any questions on the proposed day to day operations of the project and Lions Club Footscray representatives will be available to provide a history of the site and their hopes for the future.
