The Co-op has invited Andre from “Self Defence Hub” to run another private self defence group workshop for UHC members and family members >12 years of age.
COURSE: Self Defence Follow-on Workshop
COURSE DURATION: 2.5 hours session.
DATE/TIME: Saturday 24 February 2018, 10am to 12.30pm
LOCATION: United Housing Co-operative, 1A Ballarat St, YARRAVILLE VIC 3013
COST: FREE
This lesson is created especially for people wanting to learn street smart self defence that can be used in immediate situations. We will touch on the skills learned in the previous self-defence lesson held last year (it was some time ago) and also increase skills to include floor escape.
You’ll be learning:
- Wrist grab escapes
- Dealing with escalating situations
- Defence from hold against a wall
- Floor escape
and other scenarios that the group brings forward, dependent on what you are comfortable with.
You’ll need to bring:
- Clothes that you are comfortable in e.g. tracksuit pants and t-shirt.
- Bottle of water
- Short finger nails (you may end up scratching yourself or others accidentally).
We can have up to 15 people participate. Places are limited so don’t be shy and register NOW!!!
